12/21/08 - Comet Holiday Hours - Open 9am to 2pm Christmas Eve, Closed Christmas Day and Friday December 26th, Open Saturday December 27th 9am to 2pm, Open December 29th and 30th from 9am to 6pm, Closed December 31st on New Years Eve, Closed January 1st New Years Day, we will open to normal business hours starting Friday January 2nd. 10/29/08 - It was an all Comet Racing Engines front row with CJ Lintner and Jimmy Simpson qualifying 1st and 2nd at the Whiteland Raceway Yamaha Can Endurance Race. CJ took the early lead but was sidelined with a axle bearing failure, the team of Jimmy Simpson and co-driver Jeff Wimmenauer cruised to the victory and the $1000 payday with their Comet Racing Engines KT100!

9/30/08 - New Product! Comet has the quick fix for a broken water pump belt! New one piece braided water pump belt with hook, now you can change your water pump belt without pulling the axle! Click here for details...

9/18/08 - New Products! Tired of taking your HDC5 dry clutch half apart just to pull it off your KT100 tapered shaft? Well this new aftermarket clutch puller for the HDC5 series can pull the entire clutch off in seconds while only taking off the starter nut! Also new at Comet is the HPV/Yamaha Pipe Flex Measuring Stick! Make sure you're legal in HPV and set the flex length on your Yamaha Pipe engine with this handy aluminum gauge.

8/18/08 - It was a great weekend for Comet Racing Engines in the 2008 WKA Manufacturers Cup race at New Castle Motorsports Park in Indiana! CJ Lintner brought home the win in Yamaha Senior Sportsman Heavy AND is the 2008 WKA National Point Champion in that class! Mark Dismore Jr. also took home the 2008 Yamaha Senior Sportsman Light championship for the second year in a row. Jack Manley finished a close second in Yamaha Junior Supercan Lite on Sunday and missed his first WKA National win by inches! Billy Lewis brought home two podiums in the highly competitive TaG class with a 5th on Saturday and a 2nd on Sunday with his Comet Racing Engines Leopard with Evan Batt 3rd and Jimmy Simpson in 5th both with Comet Racing Engine Leopards. Weston Moon and Robby Seward picked up their first WKA National podiums in the Yamaha Supercan class on Saturday and Sunday. Congratulations to all Comet Racing Engines customers on their great runs and finishes!

8/4/08 - Another WKA National winning weekend for Comet Racing Engines! Congratulations to John Floor for his win in Briggs Animal Heavy and Spencer Boyd for his win in Briggs Gold Plate Animal at the WKA Gold Cup race at Circleville, OH! Jim Lipari had a great run in Raptor 340 with a 2nd place finish as well as a 3rd place finish for Kyle Lane in Raptor 370 and Tanner Long with a 4th place finish in the Black Plate Animal class. Jason Trennepohl finished in the 3rd spot in Briggs Animal Heavy. Congratulations to all Comet Racing Engines customers on their finishes.

7/30/08 - Comet Racing Engines racked up another WKA National victory with Mark Dismore Jr. in the Yamaha Senior Sportsman class at Norway, IL. Jimmy Simpson picked up his first top 5 qualifying at a WKA National race with a 4th in TaG Sunday, and CJ Lintner and Billy Lewis finishing in 3rd and 4th in the TaG feature on Sunday!

7/8/08 - Congratulations to Jim Lipari and Kyle Lane on their wins at last weekends WKA Gold Cup in Camden OH on Comet Racing Engines Briggs Animals and Flatheads! If your looking for national level karting engines give Comet Kart Sales a call!

1/14/08 - The new 2008 Comet Kart Sales Print Catalog is being printed and mailed this week. You should see the new catalog in your mailbox by the end of the month.

1/4/08 - Happy New Year fellow karters! The Comet team was in Daytona for the start of the 2008 WKA Manufacturers Cup. With close to 700 entries the event was HUGE with Comet Racing Engines pulling down a win in the ultra competitive TaG Class! With over 70 entries CJ Lintner won the final on his Arrow AX9-CIK with Comet Racing Engine's Leopard providing the power! CJ also finished 2nd in the Yamaha Senior Sportsman class, with his AX9-4S and Comet KT100, literally on the back on the winner! Cody Robinson on his AX9-4S with Comet Racing Engines KT100 cruised to the victory in the Yamaha Junior can class as well! It was a great event and congrats to all Comet customers on their performances!

11/16/07 - Kyle Lane takes the 2007 WKA National Points Championships in Briggs Senior Sportsman Medium and Heavy with Comet Racing Engines Briggs Flatheads! Congratulations to Kyle on his two championships and for picking up two more wins at the season ending Gold Cup race at Charlotte! Click here for details...

10/2/07 - Comet Kart Sales and Comet Racing Engines had a great weekend to finish up the 2007 WKA Manufacturers Cup series with the final round at New Castle Motorsports Park! Comet Racing Engines took wins in the Yamaha Pipe Heavy class, Yamaha Junior Can Lite, and swept both Yamaha Senior Sportsman classes with a Comet 1, 2 on Sunday! Due to the enormous amount of SPAM we receive we had to change our email program and update our SPAM software. We did our best to preserve any legitimate emails but please re-email us if you do not receive an answer by this Friday. We think the changes we have made will be better in the long run but it has been a bit of a headache switching over the last couple days.

9/5/07 - Attention Junior Sportsman Manfacturers Cup Teams - Anyone wishing to purchase MG 460x5 SLE tires for the NCMP Manufacturers Cup race should do so ASAP. They can be delivered out to the track for pickup on Wednesday or Thursday before the Mfg. Cup race. They must be prepaid to reserve your tires. We will not be stocking more MG tires than we sell for the Mfg. Cup race weekend.

7/23/07 - Comet Racing Engines sweep Yamaha Junior Can once again at the WKA Manufacturers Cup with Cody Robinson on his Arrow Chassis. Comet also picked up another WKA win with Mark Dismore Jr. picking up the win in Yamaha Senior Sportsman Heavy with a Comet Racing Engines KT100 and Arrow AX9 4S chassis!

7/2/07 - Comet will be closed on Wednesday July 4th, we will be open again on Thursday at our usual hours. Have a great and safe 4th of July!

6/19/07 - Congratulations to Cody Robinson and CJ Lintner on winning both of the Yamaha Junior Can classes at the WKA Manufacturers Cup Grand Nationals this weekend! With their great drives Comet Racing Engines have swept the WKA Junior Can classes at the last two WKA Nationals!

5/21/07 - Comet will be closed on Monday May 28th for Memorial Day. All web orders placed after 3pm EDT on Friday May 25th will ship out on Tuesday May 29th.

5/7/07 - Comet Racing Engines sweep all Junior Can Classes at the WKA Manufacturers Cup National! Congratulations to new Comet Racing Engines customer Cody Robinson on winning both Junior Can races at South Bend Raceway Park with CJ Lintner finishing second in both Junior Can races with Comet Racing Engines. It was also an all Comet Racing Engines front row with CJ and Cody 1-2 in qualifying both days! Jared Thomas earned his first WKA National win as well in Yamaha Junior Sportsman with an impressive win with his Comet Racing Engines KT100, congratulations to Jared! To cap off the weekend with an extremely hard fought battle on Saturday where Mark Dismore Jr. went into the lead on the last lap of Senior Can Light to end up 2nd in the last corner, Mark Jr. picked up the win in Senior Can Heavy on Sunday! It was a great weekend for the entire Comet Racing Engines and Comet Kart Sales team including multiple podium finishes, poles and victories! See our results page for the full run down!

4/25/07 - Congratulations to Liz Lehmann on becoming the first woman to ever win the Purdue Grand Prix! Not only was it a big win for Liz we are proud that she won it with her Comet Racing Engine KT100! Thanks Liz and awesome job!

12/5/06 - Comet Kart Sales and RLV Tuned Pipes have teamed up to provide a new stainless exhaust system for the Aixro Rotary Engine. 11/8/06 - Congratulations to Kellen James on his pole and win at the WKA Charlotte Gold Cup in Animal Heavy with his Comet Blueprinted Animal and Coyote chassis! 10/9/06 - Congratulations to Billy Lewis on winning TaG Senior at the 2006 TaG World Championships on an Arrow AX9 with a Comet Tuned Leopard. Also congratulations to Joseph Newgarden on his win in Junior TaG with a Margay 1.6 and Comet Tuned Leopard. Jimmy Simpson finished 3rd after starting last in the Junior TaG feature with a Margay 1.6 and Comet Leopard and Dan Stempfley finished 4th in TaG Masters on a Margay 1.4 with Comet Tuned Sonik. Joseph Newgarden also finished 5th in the TaG Pro feature after leading past the halfway point.

7/18/06 - Congratulations to all our Comet Racing customers at the WKA Two Cycle Grand Nationals at South Bend including Amanda Luba winning HPV Lite by over 5 seconds after taking the fast time in qualifying! A second place for Matt Codolata in TaG with a Comet Leopard and Zach Beard qualifying 5th in TaG with over 40 karts! Four podiums including two seconds, a third and pole for Mark Dismore Jr. in Yamaha Senior Can and Pipe. Two podiums for CJ Lintner including a 3rd in HPV Junior Lite and a third place in JICA for Joey Newgarden with a Comet tuned JICA and Jimmy Simpson qualifying 5th in HPV Junior.
